Abstract:
Disclosed is a lithium secondary battery including: a positive electrode; a negative electrode; a separator that is disposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode; a spacer; and a nonaqueous electrolyte that has lithium-ion conductivity. A lithium metal is deposited on the negative electrode during charging. A dissolved lithium metal is provided from the negative electrode during discharging. A spacer (53) is formed on one main surface of one member from among the positive electrode, the negative electrode, and the separator. The spacer (53) includes a first protrusion (53a) that has a linear shape and forms a cyclically repeated pattern, and a plurality of second protrusions (53b) that are not in contact with the first protrusion (53a). The first protrusion (53a) includes a plurality of annular sections connected to each other. The second protrusions (53b) are disposed inside the annular sections.
