Disclosed are a load balance method and device, and a computer-readable storage medium, belonging to the field of data storage, and applied to a management node in a video monitoring system. The method comprises: determining a current performance score of multiple storage nodes in the video monitoring system, wherein the performance score is obtained by score determination based on each performance index of the storage nodes and is used for describing a current resource operating capability of the storage nodes; based on the number of multiple video recording plans to be issued and the performance scores of the multiple storage nodes, determining the allocation number of video recording plans allocated to each storage node, wherein the video recording plan is used for describing time information of a photography device recording a video stream; and according to the determined allocation number, allocating the multiple video recording plans to the multiple storage nodes. In the present application, multiple video recording plans are issued according to a performance score of each storage node, so as to improve the effect of load balancing.
