Abstract:
Disclosed in an embodiment of the present invention is a load balancing method. The load balancing method is applicable to a video surveillance system, and is configured to address a problem of load imbalance in the prior art, and achieve load balancing between each devices in the video surveillance system. A method of an embodiment of the present invention comprises: when a first device detects a load imbalance between the first device and a second device, acquiring, by the first device, first state information of the first device and the second device; if all values corresponding to the first state information of the first device and the second device are no greater than a preset threshold, acquiring, by the first device, second state information of the first device and the second device; calculating, by the first device, according to the second state information of the first device and the second device, space occupation ratios of the first device and the second device respectively; determining, by the first device, according to the space occupation ratios of the first device and the second device, a balancing policy; and performing, by the first device, according to the balancing policy, scheduling so as to enable the load to be balanced between the first device and the second device.
