Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a location identification system which, while suppressing the power consumption amount of a terminal carried by a subject, can accurately detect the location of the subject inside a monitored area where the subject is active on a daily basis, and which can also accurately and efficiently detect the location of the subject even in the case of an emergency where the subject has exited the monitored area. [Solution] A subject terminal 10 transmits identification information via short-range communication at a first time interval, acquires location information by a GPS function at a second time interval, and transmits the identification information and the location information to a server 30 via long-range communication. A detection terminal 20 transmits, to the server 30, the identification information transmitted from the subject terminal 10 with which communication is possible. The server 30 identifies the location of the subject terminal 10 on the basis of the information transmitted from the detection terminal 20, and also identifies the location of the subject terminal 10 on the basis of the identification information and the location information transmitted from the subject terminal 10.
