Abstract:

Disclosed is a low-permeability laminate which is produced by laminating a thermoplastic resin composition layer (A) and at least one rubber composition layer (B) together to produce a laminate and heating the laminate at a temperature ranging from 130 to 210°C, wherein the thermoplastic resin composition layer (A) comprises (i) 50 to 90 wt% of an ethylene-(vinyl alcohol) copolymer having an ethylene content of 20 to 50 mol% and a degree of saponification of 90% or more, (ii) 50 to 10 wt% of an aliphatic polyamide resin containing 90 mol% or more of an ε-caprolactam-derived component, and (iii) a sulfonamide plasticizer in an amount of 3 to 50 parts by weight relative to the total amount (100 parts by weight) of the components (i) and (ii), and wherein the ratio of the thickness of the layer (B) (εB) to the thickness of the layer (A) (εA) (i.e., the [εB/εA] ratio) in the laminate is 10 or greater. The laminate can undergo a long-term molding processing. Also disclosed is a pneumatic tire utilizing the laminate.
