Provided are: a lubricant composition for a transmission having long fatigue life and low viscosity and containing a base oil and an olefin copolymer, wherein the mass average molecular weight of the olefin copolymer is 5,000-30,000, the hydrodynamic radius of the olefin copolymer is 1.00-5.00 nm, and the content of the olefin copolymer with respect to the total amount of the composition is 1.0-8.0 mass%; a method for producing the same; a lubricating method using the lubricant composition for a transmission; and a transmission.
