Abstract:
A lubricant mist spray apparatus comprises spray headers (53a, 53b) and mist nozzles (54). The spay headers have a lubricant oil supply tube (56) and a gas supply tube (55) that are unifyingly fixed by fixing members (65, 66) and are arranged parallel to pinch rolls (7a, 7b) with predetermined spacing kept from the surfaces of the rolls. The mist nozzles (54) are communicated with the lubricant oil supply tube (56) and the gas supply tube (55) at predetermined intervals in the length direction of the spreaders (53a, 53b) and jet lubricant mist (m) to the surfaces of the pinch rolls (7a, 7b). The structure above enables downsizing of the lubricant mist spray apparatus and facilitating the installation of the lubricant mist spray apparatus in small space in a roll chamber (52) enclosing the pinch rolls (7a, 7b) of a metal strip continuous casting apparatus.
