Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a lubricating oil composition for a shock absorber of which the low-speed-side coefficient of friction is low, the high-speed-side coefficient of friction is high, and the ratio of the low-speed-side coefficient of friction to the high-speed-side coefficient of friction is low, in terms of the lubricity between rubber and chrome, which are materials generally used in the oil seals and piston rods of shock absorbers. A lubricating oil composition for a shock absorber, the composition being characterized by comprising (A) a base oil made of mineral oil and/or synthetic oil, and (B) a dithiophosphate ester represented by formula (1).
