Abstract:
The present invention provides a lubricating oil composition containing a base oil as well as a comb-shaped polymer and including a viscosity index improver (A) having a shear stability index (SSI) of 30 or less, the high-temperature high-shear viscosity (HTHS viscosity) (T150) of the lubricating oil composition at 150°C being 1.6-2.9 mPa∙s, and the ratio (V40/T150) of the dynamic viscosity at 40°C (V40) [mm2/s] and the HTHS viscosity at 150°C (T150) [mPa∙s] being 12.4 or lower. This lubricating oil composition has excellent fuel-saving performance at low temperatures expected during engine startup, while improving various characteristics such as viscosity at high temperatures expected during high-speed engine operation.
