Abstract:
Provided is a machine structural member that can suppress deformation and has high accuracy and excellent quality. This machine structural member (triangular screw shaft) (31), in which grooves (32) and teeth (33) are formed by plastic processing and which has a cured layer (31a) on the surfaces of the teeth (33), has a sorbite structure, and the Rockwell hardness in a region (P) excluding the cured layer (31a) is 13-28 (HRC). Furthermore, the variation in Rockwell hardness in the region (P) excluding the cured layer (31a) is within 6 (HRC).
