Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a magnesium oxide powder that contains specific magnesium oxide particles, that can minimize any rise in viscosity when a resin is filled with said powder, and that can realize the high thermal conductivity of a resin composition containing the resin; and a filler composition, a resin composition, and a heat dissipating component containing the magnesium oxide powder. This magnesium oxide powder contains magnesium oxide particles, and the oil absorption value of the magnesium oxide particles with respect to linseed oil, measured in accordance with JIS K5101-13-1, is 2.5 mL/10 g or less.
