Abstract:
This magnesium oxide powder is characterized in that: the median diameter (D50) thereof is 5-100 μm; the MgO purity thereof is 98 mass% or more; the Ca compound content thereof is 2 mass% or less in terms of CaO; and when the powder is immersed in pure water and is left at rest at 95°C for 24 hours, the mass ratio Ca/Mg of calcium ions to magnesium ions in the water solution is 10 or less.
