Title:
MAGNET MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2004/008607
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A magnet motor comprising a rotor that has a permanent magnet disposed inside a stator on which armature windings are provided. The permanent magnet is a bonded magnet produced by placing a mixture of an Nd−Fe−B magnet powder, grains of carbon, and short wires or mesh in a mold at a time and binding and hardening it with resin. Since the mechanical strength of the bonded magnet is ensured, no reinforcing materials around the bonded magnet are needed, the length of the gap between the magnet and the stator is short, and the size and weight of the magnet motor can be small. Because the materials are placed in a mold at a time, and bound and hardened with resin, the dimensional accuracy is ensured, and reprocessing for finishing is not required, thus improving the productivity. As mentioned above, since the magnet powder and the reinforcing materials are bound and hardened with resin into one piece, the productivity and finishing accuracy are both improved, thereby realizing a small inexpensive magnet motor.
