Abstract:
A magnetic material is constituted of a L10 type FeNi ordered alloy constituted of acicular particles. In this L10 type FeNi ordered alloy, the direction of the long axis has a magnetic shape anisotropic orientation. Furthermore, when the L10 type FeNi ordered alloy is constituted of acicular particles, the Fe and Ni elements are layered along the direction of the long axis of the acicular particles. In addition, since the direction of layering of the Fe and Ni is in the c axis orientation which forms the axis of easy magnetization by the crystal magnetic anisotropy in the L10 type FeNi ordered alloy, the direction of the long axis of the acicular particles which forms the orientation of magnetic shape anisotropy is generally arranged in the c axis orientation. Therefore, high coercive field strength Hc can be obtained with applications of magnetic material that includes the L10 type FeNi ordered alloy constituted of the acicular particles in magnetic materials, magnetic recording materials, and the like.
