Abstract:
The present invention obtains a water image in which a fat signal is suppressed to a desired proportion by weighted summing of a plurality of images acquired by reconstructing each echo signal obtained at a plurality of different echo times in order to acquire, with high precision, the water image in which the fat signal remains in a desired proportion, with a simple method without impairing contrast. The plurality of different echo times is set such that a phase difference between a water signal and the fat signal included in each image is different between at least two images. Additionally, a weighting coefficient used for the weighted summing is determined such that the difference in signal strength due to difference in the echo time is cancelled and such that the fat signal is suppressed to a desired proportion in the water image.
