Abstract:
A magnetochromism detection device and method for a crack in steel structure. The device comprises magnetic suspension liquid, a magnetization device, a high-speed digital camera (6), an image processing module (7), a data processing module (8), an input button (9), a liquid-crystal display panel (10) and a power source and data output interface (11); the magnetic suspension liquid comprises magnetic iron oxide powders, Fe3O4 nanoparticles and an oily base liquid; the method comprises the high-speed digital camera (6) taking photos during detection, and looking for the time at which the leakage magnetic field intensity reaches the maximum, recording and calculating a crack position and a propagation direction. This invention achieves the automatic determination and recording of the crack images and parameters such as position and direction, and can eliminate the interference of false indication.
