A configuration is provided which enables efficient production of a high-sensitivity magnetostrictive sensor. A torque sensor 1 is provided with a magnetic structure 20 comprising a substrate 21 and a magnetostrictive film 2. In the magnetic structure 20, defining a first cross-section as a cross-section perpendicular to an axis A, and defining a second cross-section as a cross-section perpendicular to the first cross-section and through the axis A, the magnetostrictive film 2 fulfills at least one of conditions A, B and C indicated below. (A) In the first cross section, portions with mutually different concentrations of at least one element are arranged clockwise around the axis A. (B) In the first cross section, portions with mutually different concentrations of the aforementioned at least one element are arranged in the thickness direction of the magnetostrictive film 2. (C) In the second cross section, portions with mutually different concentrations of the aforementioned at least one element are arranged along the axis A.
