Abstract:
A battery ID and at least the latest use history information, which indicates how a battery was used in a vehicle from the time of installation to removal from the vehicle, are written to a battery mountable in an electrically driven vehicle. A management device for managing batteries is arranged in a station for battery replacement, and is provided with: a reading unit which reads the battery ID and use history information from a battery; a storage unit which, associated with the battery ID, stores cumulative use history information, which is accumulated use history information that has been read by the reading unit; and a deterioration degree calculation unit which, when a battery ID read by the reading unit is inputted, extracts, on the basis of the battery ID, the cumulative use history information stored in the storage unit, and calculates and outputs a deterioration degree, which indicates the degree of battery deterioration on the basis of the extracted cumulative use history information.
