Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to allow different types of application programs to efficiently use virtual volumes generated on the basis of a hierarchized pool. A configuration management unit (P30) determines on the basis of access information each hierarchy (211) on which each actual domain (212) allocated to each virtual volume (220) is to be arranged. The configuration management unit is provided with a determination unit (P3020) which determines the type of an application program using an actual domain and a rearrangement location instruction unit (P3021, P3022) which determines a rearrangement location of an actual domain in response to the determination results and instructs the rearrangement location to a storage device.
