Abstract:
A management device connected to a network that connects a computer group stores, on a flow-by-flow basis, a communication pattern indicating a periodic change over time in the communication volume of a customer's flow flowing between computers of the computer group within the network, and identification information of a communication device within the network through which the flow goes, receives failure information from a specific communication device in which a failure has occurred within the network, selects a specific flow that goes through the specific communication device from a flow group on the basis of the identification information of the specific communication device, determines whether specific time-series data indicating a change over time in the communication volume of the specific flow within a period from a date and time that is a set period prior to a failure occurrence date and time to the failure occurrence date and time, and the communication pattern of the specific flow are similar to each other or not, and on the basis of the frequency of appearance of the communication volume in a similar communication pattern, calculates and outputs a probability that the specific flow was communicated at the failure occurrence date and time.
