Abstract:
[Problem] To propose a management device and a management method which enable improvement in the performance of access to data.
[Solution] A computer system provides a virtual logical volume associated with a logical pool composed of storage areas provided by first and second storage devices, respectively, to a host computer, and dynamically assigns the storage areas to the virtual logical volume from a logical volume. The host computer and the first storage device are connected via a first path constituting an access path, when the ratio of the amount of access using a second path that connects the first and second storage devices exceeds a predetermined ratio, it is determined that there is a problem with the access path from the host computer to the virtual logical volume, a third path that connects the host computer and the second storage device is specified as a change destination of the access path, and the specified third path is changed to part of the access path from the host computer to the virtual logical volume.
