Abstract:

Provided is a manufacturing method for a hat-shaped steel piling, in which rough rolling, intermediate rolling, and finishing rolling are performed by hot rolling on a rolling workpiece, and subsequently, bending is performed, wherein: the rolling workpiece has a web corresponding section, a flange corresponding section, an arm corresponding section, and a joint corresponding section; corner sections are formed as a processing site at a connection location between the web corresponding section and the flange corresponding section and a connection location between the flange corresponding section and the arm corresponding section; the intermediate rolling is performed with one or a plurality of intermediate rolling mills configured in a single-stand, single-caliber format, the intermediate rolling including rolling the rolling workpiece in a plurality of passes with calibers provided in upper and lower caliber rolls while hot and at a height lower than a prescribed target product height; and the bending is performed in a condition where the pressing workpiece is hot and the processing site is at a temperature equal to or higher than a transformation point, the bending causing the pressing workpiece to be formed to a prescribed target height and target width.
