Abstract:
A manufacturing method and a mask for a liquid-crystal display (LCD) panel having a one-piece black matrix and a photoresist spacer. The method utilizes a negative photoresist layer that undergoes different levels of cross-linking reactions and viscous flow when illuminated with different energy levels of light, and comprises: exposing a negative photoresist layer (5) by using a mask (1) including a first fully light-transmissive region (11), a second fully light-transmissive region (13), a first fully light-shielding region (15), a partially light-transmissive region (17), and a second fully light-shielding region (19); and performing development and baking processes to manufacture a one-piece black matrix and photoresist spacer in the LCD panel, wherein, an auxiliary photoresist spacer (53) has a film thickness smaller than that of a main photoresist spacer (51) and greater than that of a blocking wall (57) of the black matrix. The solution reduces the number of masks, eliminates a yellow-light process, lowers production costs and decreases production time, while maintaining a stable offset between the main photoresist space (51) and the auxiliary photoresist spacer (53), enhancing the yield rate of LCD panel products.
