Abstract:
There is a demand, in the formation of a press-molded article by hot stamping (also referred to as hot-pressing) or cold pressing, for achieving efficient softening of a region of a desired size at a desired location on the press-molded article. This manufacturing method for a press-molded article may include a step for molding a press-molded article from a blank material that is a steel plate by sandwiching the blank material between a first molding surface and a second molding surface of a mold, thereby press-molding the blank material into a predetermined shape. This manufacturing method for a press-molded article may also include a step for removing the press-molded article from the mold and then projecting an infrared ray onto a predetermined section of the press-molded article.
