Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a method for manufacturing a resin retainer having two annular sections such that it is possible to suppress the deformation of the annular parts in the radial direction. [Solution] A fixed-side cavity formation mold 6 has a first axial-direction mold surface 6A abutting the axial-direction end face of one annular section of a resin retainer A having two annular sections, and has a first protrusion11A projecting from the first axial-direction mold surface 6A. A movable-side cavity formation mold 7 has a second axial-direction mold surface 7A abutting theaxial-direction end face of the other annular section of the retainer A, and has a second protrusion 12A projecting from the second axial-direction mold surface 7A. A slide core sliding step for sliding a slide core 8 radially outward and pulling out a pocket-forming projection of the slide core 8 from a pocket in the retainer A is carried out, after which a mold opening step for opening the movable-side cavity formation mold 7 with respect to the fixed-side cavity formation mold 6 is carried out.
