Abstract:
The present invention belongs to the technical field of biology, and specifically relates to a marine fungus and the use thereof in degrading plastic waste. The marine fungus is Alternaria alternata FB1. The strain is deposited at Guangdong Microbial Culture Collection Center located at Floor 5, Building 59, Compound 100, Xianlie Middle Road, Guangzhou, with a deposit date of July 7, 2021 and a deposit number of GDMCC No: 61788. The strain of the present invention can colonize and grow on ethylene glycol terephthalate and polyethylene plastics, and has a good degradability on polyethylene glycol terephthalate, polyethylene, polyester polyurethane, polyether polyurethane, polypropylene, polystyrene and several common biodegradable plastics.
