Abstract:
This mass spectrometry device comprises a sample stage, an irradiation unit, an MCP, a phosphor, an imaging unit, and a control unit. The irradiation unit irradiates a sample with energy rays to ionize a plurality of components of the sample while maintaining the position information of the plurality of components. The MCP emits electrons in response to the ionized sample. The phosphor emits fluorescence in response to the electrons. The imaging unit has a shutter mechanism configured to be switchable between an open state and a closed state. The control unit controls an open/close operation of the shutter mechanism. The control unit opens/closes the shutter mechanism at a timing depending on the component to cause the imaging unit to capture fluorescence corresponding to each of the plurality of components.
