Abstract:
This material for intraocular lenses comprises a polymer obtained by polymerizing a polymerizable composition containing a hydrophilic monomer and a crosslinkable monomer, wherein the product of the mole fraction A of the hydrophilic monomer and the mole fraction B of the crosslinkable monomer, i.e., the value of A×B, is 2.1×10-3-3.6×10-3 exclusive, the mole fraction B of the crosslinkable monomer is less than 2.4×10-2, and the refractive index n of the polymer in a hydrated state is greater than or equal to 1.5.
