Abstract:
According to the present invention, hunting is detected with high accuracy. This material testing machine 1, which measures a change in a physical quantity generated in a test object by a load, comprises: a load mechanism 12 that applies the load to the test object; a load measurement device that measures the load applied to the test object; and a control device 30 that performs a feedback control of the load mechanism 12 on the basis of a deviation between the measured value of the load and a target value of the load, wherein the control device 30 includes a hunting detection unit 66 that detects hunting on the basis of a comparison between frequency spectra obtained by converting time-series data on the measured value and the target value, respectively.
