Abstract:
A mechanical seal device 1 comprises a circulating pump mechanism 30 that circulates a sealing liquid in a sealing liquid chamber 8. The circulating pump mechanism 30 comprises: a rotor 31 provided on a rotation shaft 51 so as to be rotatable integrally, and having an attachment groove 31c opening on an outer circumferential surface 31b; a plurality of vanes 32 provided on the attachment groove 31c, and which can be projected or retracted with respect to the outer circumferential surface 31b of the rotor 31; a spring 33 provided on the attachment groove 31c in the back of the vanes 32, and which biases the vanes 32 in a direction of causing the vanes 32 to project from the outer circumferential surface 31b of the rotor 31; and a holding member 42 provided on the attachment groove 31c in the back of the vanes 32, and having an insertion hole 42a into which the spring 33 is inserted.
