Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a medical Au-Pt-Pd alloy comprising Au, Pt, Pd, and inevitable impurities. This alloy has an alloy composition inside a polygon (A1-A2-A3-A4-A5-A6) surrounded by straight lines connecting A1 point (Au: 37.9 at%, Pt: 0.1 at%, Pd: 62 at%), A2 point (Au: 79.9 at%, Pt: 0.1 at%, Pd: 20 at%), A3 point (Au: 79.9 at%, Pt: 20 at%, Pd: 0.1 at%), A4 point (Au: 69.9 at%, Pt: 30 at%, Pd: 0.1 at%), A5 point (Au: 49 at%, Pt: 30 at%, Pd: 21 at%), and A6 point (Au: 39 at%, Pt: 40 at%, Pd: 21 at%) in an Au-Pt-Pd ternary phase diagram. In addition, the alloy has an optimized metallographic structure which is similar to a single-phase structure, and in which an Au-rich phase and a Pt-rich phase different in composition from a parent phase are less likely to be precipitated.
