Abstract:
A medical endoscope system comprises an image capture device, a plurality of apparatuses to be controlled, and a controller which controls the plurality of apparatuses to be controlled. The controller further comprises: an operator setting unit which sets, as an operator whose operations are allowed, one operator candidate among a plurality of pre-registered operator candidates, and sets, as a blocked operator whose operations are blocked, the operator candidates other than the one operator candidate; an object detection unit which detects, from an image which is outputted from the image capture device, objects having a prescribed condition; an operator recognition unit which identifies an object corresponding to the operator which is set with the operator setting unit from objects which are detected with the object detection unit and recognizes the identified object as the operator; an operation detection unit which detects a prescribed operation of the identified object; a control signal generation unit which generates a control signal which controls at least one of the apparatuses to be controlled of the plurality of apparatuses to be controlled according to the result of the detection by the operation detection unit; and an apparatus control unit which controls at least one of the apparatuses to be controlled on the basis of the control signal.
