A medical image processing device comprises: an acquisition unit that acquires a first image that is a medical image of a prescribed part of a subject; an image quality improvement unit that generates, from the first image, a second image having an improved image quality compared to the image quality of the first image by using an image quality improvement engine comprising a machine learning engine; and a display control unit that displays, on a display unit, a composite image obtained by composing the first and second images with a ratio, the ratio being obtained using information about at least some areas in at least one of the first and second images.
