Abstract:

Provided are a medical image processing device, a processor device, a medical image processing method, and a program that are capable of suppressing flickering of a display when issuing a notification pertaining to an area of interest in a medical image. The medical image processing device comprises: an image acquisition unit (40) that acquires endoscopic images (38); an area-of-interest detection unit (41) that detects an area of interest; a highlighted-area setting unit (42) that sets, in accordance with the location of the area of interest, the location of a highlighted area highlighting the area of interest when displaying the endoscopic images using a monitor device (16); and a display control unit (44) that updates a display of the highlighted area while employing an update interval which exceeds the update interval of the display of the endoscopic images.
