Abstract:
This medical instrument includes: a spike having a central axis that extends from a base end to a distal end; a valve through which the spike can pass; a biasing body that biases the valve toward the distal end in an axial direction along the central axis; a base tube; a distal tube that is movable to both sides in the axial direction relative to the spike by being guided by the base tube; and a retaining body that retains the valve. The retaining body cannot move toward the base end in the axial direction relative to the distal tube when another medical instrument is connected to the distal tube, but becomes movable toward the distal end in the axial direction relative to the distal tube by the other medical instrument being removed from the distal tube.
