Abstract:
This medical instrument is provided with: a spike that includes a base end, a tip end, and a central axial line that extends from the base end to the tip end; a valve body; a biasing body that biases the valve body; a tip tube that can move integrally with the valve body to either side in the axial direction relative to the spike; and a base tube that cannot move to either side in the axial direction relative to the spike. The tip tube is provided with a guided section that is guided into the base tube. The medical instrument is further provided with an engagement control section that, through connection of another medical instrument to the tip tube, causes the guided section to move to one side in the radial direction and engage with the base tube and, through separation of the other medical instrument from the tip tube, causes the guided section to move to another side in the radial direction and release the engagement with the base tube.
