Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to improve the safety of medical activities such as surgery and examinations, by providing a medical observation device equipped with: an image capturing unit (310) which acquires captured image data, which are image data obtained by capturing an image of an observation target; a supporting unit which supports the image capturing unit (310); an assessing unit (342) which, on the basis of the captured image data, assesses the presence or absence of an input of a field of view movement instruction with respect to an image being displayed by a display device, and which, on the basis of the captured image data, assesses the presence or absence of image movement with respect to the image being displayed by the display device; and a correcting unit (343) which, if the assessing unit (342) has assessed that no field of view movement instruction has been input and that image movement has occurred, corrects for the image movement to generate display image data, which are image data to be displayed by the display device, on the basis of the captured image data.
