Title:
MEDICAL SUTURE NEEDLE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/119495
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The strength of a tip portion where a sharp point is formed is improved and the piercing resistance is reduced while minimizing the piercing mark after the needle is passed through a tissue. The medical suture needle comprises stainless steel and has a cutting blade component part (10) and a body part (20) continuous with the cutting blade component part; the cutting blade component part is formed in a shape such that the thickness thereof decreases from the body part toward a point (14), and has a first cutting blade part (11) and a second cutting blade part (12) continuous with the first cutting blade part; the first cutting blade part has two first inclined surfaces (11b) with a top part (11a) formed so as to be interposed therebetween, and has one first bottom surface (11c) interposed between the first inclined surfaces, a cutting blade (11d) being formed on an edge that constitutes the top part and on an edge where the first bottom surface and first inclined surfaces intersect with each other; the second cutting blade part has first inclined surfaces, second inclined surfaces (12a) that have top-side edges (12b) formed respectively on the first inclined surfaces and oriented substantially parallel to the top part, and one second bottom surface (12c) interposed between the second inclined surfaces, the angle formed by the second inclined surfaces (12a) with the interposed the top part being less than than the angle formed by the first inclined surfaces; and a cutting blade (12d) is formed on the edge that constitutes the top part and on an edge where the second bottom surface and second inclined surfaces intersect with each other.
