Abstract:
Provided are a medicine inspection assistance device, an image processing device, an image processing method, and a program that appropriately recognize identification information regardless of whether the identification information is engraved or printed. This image processing device acquires a plurality of photographed images of a medicine, generates a first highlighted image by performing a process of highlighting an engraved portion of the medicine on the basis of at least one of the plurality of photographed images, generates a second highlighted image by performing a process of highlighting a printed portion of the medicine on the basis of at least one of the plurality of photographed images, compares between a master image and an integrated image obtained by integrating the first highlighted image and the second highlighted image, and determines whether or not the medicine to be dispensed and the dispensed medicine are the same.
