Abstract:
A medium-strength steel rail. The weight percentages of the chemical components of the medium-strength steel rail are: 0.70-0.90% of carbon, 0.08-0.65% of silicon, 0.69-1.31% of manganese, 0.10-0.25% of chromium, less than or equal to 0.020% of phosphorus, less than or equal to 0.020% of sulfur and 96.85-98.41% of iron. According to the method for producing a medium-strength steel rail in the present invention, the steel rail hardness of the produced medium-strength steel rail is 350-370 HB, the abrasion loss is less than or equal to 0.40 g, the contact fatigue life is greater than or equal to 50,000 times, and the degree of opening of a 610 mm-long steel rail web is less than or equal to 3.0 mm/400 mm.
