Abstract:
The present invention provides a membrane electrode assembly comprising an acidic cation exchange membrane, and an application, and relates to a method for testing electrocatalytic carbon dioxide reduction reaction (CO2RR) by means of a membrane electrode assembly in an acidic cation exchange membrane condition, mainly comprising: cathode catalytic electrode preparation, anode catalytic electrode preparation, cation exchange membrane selection, electrolyte preparation, and membrane electrode assembly assembling. In an existing system, carbonate deposition is serious, and the CO2 utilization rate does not exceed 50%. According to the present invention, by changing the system, in acidic conditions, protons of the anode neutralize HCO3
-/CO3
2- produced at the cathode by means of the cation exchange membrane, so as to solve the problem of carbonate deposition; in addition, the cation exchange membrane also inhibits passage of HCO3
-/CO3
2-, and reduces crossover of CO2, thereby improving the utilization rate.
