Abstract:
[Problem] A CPU is not adept at processing for searching for information in memory, and with an associative memory (CAM) which is adept at searching for information it is difficult to construct a large-capacity memory capable of handling big data.
[Solution] By incorporating a 1-bit parallel arithmetic logic unit having an extremely small circuit scale into a typical memory, a large-capacity memory is transformed into a dynamic memory having information retrieval capability comparable to that of an associative memory (CAM), and by means of this memory it is possible to achieve a fully-parallel retrieval type ultra-high speed in-memory database.
