Abstract:
 A mobile electronic device (e.g., a smartphone) is provided with an atmospheric pressure sensor, an acceleration sensor, and a controller. The atmospheric pressure sensor detects the atmospheric pressure acting on the mobile electronic device. The acceleration sensor detects acceleration acting on the mobile electronic device. The controller detects movement of the host device, on the basis of acceleration. On the basis of atmospheric pressure fluctuations observed in cases in which the host device is not moving, the controller corrects atmospheric pressure fluctuations observed in cases in which the host device is moving, and calculates the elevation change of the host device.
