Abstract:

Provided is a (meta)allylsilane compound that is a starting material for realizing a substrate having functional properties, such as optical properties, separation properties, charge transfer properties, catalyst properties, water repellency, oil repellency or lipophilicity, surface protection capability, or scratch resistance, and that can be simply prepared, easily purified, and handled with stability. The (meta)allylsilane compound has reactive functional groups, which are formed from (meta)allylsilyl groups or halogenosilyl groups bonded to the same via spacer groups, and which bond, directly or via separate spacer groups, to: the dehydrogenation residue of amino groups of amino group-containing compounds; the carbaminic acid ester groups or amide groups derived from the dehydrogenation residue of amino groups; aromatic compounds; polymerizable unsaturated groups; perfluoro groups; dehydrogenation residue of saccharide or carbohydrate polyols (excluding when the separate spacer group is an alkylene group or an alkylene group and arylene group); dehydrogenation residue of amino acids; halogenosilyl groups; or substituted silyl groups wherein the halogen of the halogenosilyl is substituted.
