Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a metal complex having high water resistance. The problem is solved by a metal complex comprising: a polyvalent carboxylic acid compound; an ion of a metal belonging to group 2 to 13 of the periodic table; an organic ligand that is capable of multidentate coordination to the metal ion; and a monodentate organic ligand that is capable of coordination to the metal ion. The metal complex has excellent adsorption, occlusion and separation abilities of gas, has excellent water resistance, and is capable of being stably present and retaining a high adsorption ability under high temperatures and humidity.
