Abstract:
A metal foil (1) for a current collector has at least one surface that is roughened. The roughened surface has a plurality of recessed sections (4) having a bottom-surface part (2) and edge parts (3) that surround the bottom-surface part (2) and protrude beyond the bottom-surface part (2). The average of the Feret diameter of the recessed sections (4) (Lave) is 0.5-50 µm. The metal foil (1) for a current collector is suitable for a lithium-ion secondary cell, a sodium secondary cell, an electric double-layer capacitor, or an electrode collector for a lithium-ion capacitor.
