Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a heat-generating structure and a metal heating element with a long life and a high degree of freedom in forming, and which can heat a processing object at a higher temperature and in a shorter amount of time, and inhibits permanent expansion. This metal heating element is characterized in that an elongated metal flat plate is wound in a helical manner, whereby the entire object is formed into a hollow striated shape, the perpendicular cross-section diameter in relation to the longitudinal direction being 0.5-10 times the lateral width of the metal flat plate, at least five times the thickness of the metal flat plate, and no greater than 35 mm.
