Abstract:
This hydraulic shock absorber is provided with a cylinder linked to the wheel side, a fluid chamber formed inside of the cylinder and filled with a work fluid, an annular rod guide fixed to the cylinder and blocking the vehicle side of the fluid chamber, a piston rod linked to the vehicle side and entering and exiting the cylinder through the axial center of the rod guide, a piston held by the piston rod and dividing the fluid chamber into an expansion side chamber and a pressure side chamber, and an annular bushing fitted in the inner periphery of the rod guide and pivotally supporting the piston rod so as to allow movement in the axial direction, wherein the piston rod is provided with a columnar sliding shaft part in sliding contact with the bushing, and a first injection unit for injecting the work fluid, provided outside the damper stroke area, on the side of the sliding shaft part opposite of the piston.
