Abstract:
The present invention relates to a metal melting device for melting a metal by using solar heat, the device comprising: a reactor having an open upper end; a container disposed within the reactor and accommodating a metal to be melted; and a solar absorbing plate disposed above the metal within the container, wherein the solar absorbing plate includes carbon nanotubes (CNTs). The present invention relates to a metal melting method for melting a metal by using solar heat, the method comprising the steps of: preparing a solar absorbing plate including carbon nanotubes (CNTs); placing a metal to be melted in a container within a reactor having an open upper end; placing the solar absorbing plate above the metal; supplying gas into the reactor; and providing solar heat through a lens unit installed above the reactor.
