Abstract:

A plate pressing device comprising a pair of metal molds (2) disposed opposedly on the upper and lower sides of a slab (1), an oscillating device (10) which moves, symmetrically with respect to the slab, the upper and lower metal molds through an eccentric shaft or crank shaft, upper and lower bearings (21, 22) which support the rotation of the eccentric shaft or crank shaft, and a bearing moving device (24) which moves at least either of the bearings in vertical direction. The bearing moving device (24) comprises a screw jack (27) which are installed on a main frame (26) and move a journal box (25) in vertical direction and a wedge plate (28) or a step plate (29) held between the main frame (26) and the journal box (25), thus, by using the same metal mold, enabling a plate thickness to be adjusted easily after pressing.
